Class 1 and 2 whitewater rapids in Colorado are usually ok for beginners, children and seniors. Class 3, 4 & 5 are progressively more difficult and require increased levels of physical ability including being a strong swimmer. If you are taking a class 5 whitewater rafting tour, always make sure that you are up to being able to swim in the rapids and have been trained in the ability to swim out of a whitewater rapids river.
